Hi! I'm Alison
Prior to training as a counsellor, I worked in IT but left full time employment to raise my children. After a series of life events and many years later I graduated from university with a degree in Psychology with Counselling. I went on to complete a Diploma in Humanistic Creative Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I am a humanistic, integrative, creative counsellor but what exactly does that mean?

Humanistic means I encourage you to explore how you respond to people and situations leading to a greater understanding of your responses and how they impact your life.

Integrative means I combine ideas and techniques from a range of different therapeutic models depending on your unique needs. The therapeutic models are person-centred, Gestalt, existentialism and transactional analysis.

Creative means I may suggest and encourage the exploration of other methods to unlock the sub-conscious because sometimes words are just not enough.
